Do Photo Reticle products include off the shelf encoder discs?
Except for our Avago/Broadcom HED-style discs, all Photo Reticle products are custom made to customer specifications.
What information is needed to request a project quote?
In order to best serve our clients, we will need the following information for you to get you an accurate quote:
- Disc outside diameter (OD)
- Disc inside diameter (ID)
- Code track optical radius or diameter
- Code track OD & ID or length of track
- Index description if needed
- Code track counts per revolution (CPR)
- Material type
- Quantity needed
Once we receive this information, we can get started on your optical components and turn them around quickly.
What type of drawing files does Photo Reticle use?
When providing us with drawing files, please use the following programs: Drawing Exchange Format File (DXF), DWG, and dimensioned PDFs. If none of these are possible, our team can work with you.
How long does it take to get prototype parts?
For PET (Mylar) and aluminum discs, turnaround for prototype parts is about two weeks. Glass discs may take up to four weeks, depending on diameter.
Are there any NRE tooling charges?
For one-off prototype parts made from PET or aluminum, there are usually no tooling charges. Glass discs will have NRE tooling costs regardless of quantity.
Are Photo Reticle products RoHS and REACH compliant?
Yes, all Photo Reticle products are RoHS and REACH compliant.
RoHS compliance standards: RoHS, or the Restriction of Hazardous Substances, works to restrict the use of hazardous materials in electrical and electronic products. These include: lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and four different phthalates (DEHP, BBP, BBP, DIBP).
REACH compliance standards: REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, Restriction of Chemicals. This complaince standard checks impact on human and environmental health of the use and production of chemical substances.
Is there a minimum order charge?
Yes, Photo Reticle has a minimum five hundred dollar charge to cover set-up costs.
Are Photo Reticle products made in the CHINA?
Yes, all products are custom made in China.
