Glass Scales
We have extensive experience supplying precision components for ophthalmology and eye examination instruments.
Our team specializes in custom fabrication of medical device parts that incorporate fine grooves, ridges, channels, holes, windows, and other intricate geometric features.

Mylar Encoder Scales

Reflective Mode Glass Scales
High-reflective chrome (HRC) coatings are available with over 60% reflectivity. Material options include high-reflective/transparent patterns or high-reflective patterns with an ultra-low reflective chrome layer on the backside to reduce unwanted reflections from mounting surfaces like aluminum. Gold coatings are also available for high-performance applications. Additionally, we can image scales with both transmissive and reflective patterns, if needed.
Transmissive Mode Glass Scales
We provide transmissive glass scales designed for OEM and high-performance applications. The standard configuration features soda-lime glass with low-reflective chrome (LRC) at an optical density of 2.8, which can be increased to over 5.0 if required. For applications requiring extreme precision, such as sine wave applications, ultra-flat quartz material can be specified. Additionally, borosilicate glass is available for high-temperature applications.
We’ve been partnering with you for 10 years now, and have used quite a number of your encoder discs over that time.
